Illustrated parts breakdown

liftmaster garage door opener parts

#1 Dust cover

#2 The gear and sprocket is one of the main liftmaster parts that break in the opener due to an enormous amount of torque that is generated sometimes with problems such as an improperly adjusted garage door, broken torsion spring and or a chain that is to tight... In our how to manuals you can learn how to install a gear and sprocket

#19 receiver board - once and a while these go out but liftmaster is pretty reliable.

Trouble Shooting your liftmaster garage door opener

1. My liftmaster makes a weird humming noise yet nothing happens... Check your Gear and Sprocket also check the door balance

2. My Liftmaster will not close the door it just flashes and clicks...Check your garage door sensors... re align them

3. My Liftmaster will not open the door check your garage door springs and your gear and sprocket.

4. My remote will not work I just get a clicking noise with flashing lights....check that the lock feature on your wall button is not activated. Liftmaster garage door openers have a security feature that locks out the remote.

5. My Liftmaster makes a funny noise but the trolley wont move it seems to be stuck on that bolt thing, by the motor on the rail.... The bolt thing is your stop bolt, many companies will change the motor when this happens. But not you... just try to back off the adjustments on the upper limit, and it should be fine. If not go to the door and operator adjustments page
